One Albuquerque kitchen in 2013 became four rooms, a catering company and a cookbook. Along the way: a four-day work week for our teams, free tutoring for their kids through M'tutoring, and a 2024 Rust Award for ethical business in New Mexico. We buy from Mandy's Farm, Sackett Farms and New Mexico brewers and winemakers, because we live here too.

Such a cool place for Italian food!! Right on Route 66, great atmosphere and Gray (I hope I spelled it right) our server was the best! I love the food and the Lemon Chantilly cake was soooo good!

Stopped by later in the evening for some appetizers and a shrub cocktail, received great service and delicious food. Pictured is the calamari and the wagyu beef carpaccio. Not pictured is the blueberry raspberry shrub cocktail which was very fruity and refreshing, highly recommend!

The atmosphere is sublime - abuzz with conversation, lots of natural light, and comfortable interior space. The wait staff is consistently helpful and friendly without being intrusive or performative. The food is very good quality and not the "run of the mill" Italian you might find at other restaurants at its price ... point, but plenty of comfortable and classic options to choose from if that is more your preference. I had a great meal at the bar here. Tuesday is all night happy hour also! Ordered the sourdough gnocchi dish and it had mushrooms, broccoli rabe, red onion, and some burrata and it was so good. Tiramisu to finish the meal was also delicious. A nice vibe, outdoor seating, and really good food.

What dishes are you best known for?
We are best known for what comes out of our own kitchens: the five-pork Bolognese di Cinque Maiale, pappardelle alla crema di porcini, and spaghettini & meatballs. Guests also come for the wagyu beef carpaccio, Caprese, and calamari fritti to start, Atlantic Salmon, or cold-smoked hanger steak as a main, and house-made tiramisu to finish.
What type of cuisine do you serve?
We serve Italian food made from scratch in four Albuquerque and Rio Rancho kitchens. The heart of it is fresh handmade pasta, rolled every morning into the pasta dishes on every menu, alongside artisan pizza, house-cured salumi and Harris Ranch steak from our own butchery. Rounding it out are seasonal salads, soups, lunchtime sandwiches and house-made Italian desserts.
What services do you offer?
We serve brunch, lunch and dinner, and you can dine in at any of our four restaurants, order takeout, or have it delivered across the metro. We also offer catering for your events and private dining at our restaurants. Every restaurant runs its own bar, too: craft cocktails including our house blueberry raspberry shrub cocktail, happy-hour antipasti, and desserts such as the lemon Chantilly cake.

We serve guests across Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. Bar Roma sits on Central Avenue in Nob Hill and UNM, minutes from Midtown; M'tucci's Italian is the West Side flagship near Winter Haven Road; and Moderno is on Wellspring Avenue in Rio Rancho.
