How many weddings/events per year do you do?
On average we do about 3 events a day, 7 days a week. That’s more than 1,000 a year and counting!
How long have you been catering weddings and events?
We’ve been catering in New Mexico since 2013.
Have you done events at my location?
We are affiliated with various venues and can make specific arrangements with those with which we do not have existing ties.
Are you licensed to serve alcohol?
We have full Liquor licenses: we serve beer, wine and liquor. However this added option is only available within the Albuquerque & Rio Rancho City Limits.
Will you provide a banquet manager to coordinate the meal service?
Yes, we have experienced managers who help manage their staff as well as maintaining Food Safety and cleanliness throughout the duration of the event.
Do we have to work off a preset menu or can you create a custom menu?
We have a custom Catering Menu with items that have been created to transport well and maintain our standards of high quality scratch cooking. Your menu can be created with items off of this menu. One of our Catering Managers can help you determine how many portions of each item you’ll need taking all the stress out of ordering too much or too little. *Prices vary based on your selections.
Do you use all fresh produce, meat, fish, etc.?
Our meat and produce are the highest quality ingredients, such as: Harris Ranch beef, and Duroc (Heritage) pork.
Can you source organic or sustainably farmed ingredients?
We can always accommodate special requests if available in the marketplace.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions, such as kosher, vegan, etc.?
We can handle most dietary requests. We are unable to provide Kosher meals.
What decor do you provide if any for appetizer stations or buffet tables?
We always work to display our food as artfully and appetizingly as imaginable.
What's the difference in cost between passed appetizers and an appetizer station?
Cost of all food depends on menu selection. An appetizer station will require less staff vs a Passed Appetizer which will require more staff. Cost of staff is dependent on the amount of guests in attendance. *Prices vary based on your selections.
What's the difference in price between a buffet and a sit-down meal?
Buffets cost less than plated served meals as they require less staff and often don’t have plates and bowls. Plated served events can range between $3-$5 extra per guest for the plated fee. *Prices vary based on your selections.
How much do you charge for children's meals?
We do not offer children’s meals, but can create a pasta that they’d love such as Penne & Meatballs or Penne Alfredo with Chicken.
Do you do wedding cakes? If so is this included in the per-person meal price or is it extra?
We do not offer Wedding Cakes.
If we use an outside cake designer, do you charge a cake-cutting fee?
We charge $1 per person for cake cutting.
Do you provide a food tasting and is there an extra charge for this?
We can arrange tastings.
Do you provide linens, glassware, plates and flatware? If so, what type/quality?
We can arrange for all your rental needs with a 20% booking fee added on top of the cost of the rentals. This covers the deposit as well as any costs for damaged or missing equipment upon pick up/return.
What is your policy on cleanup? Who is responsible?
We restore the venue to the same condition we find it. Any glitter or confetti is the guests responsibility to clean.
If there is left over food from my event, what happens to it?
It’s your food to do with as you please. We will leave all leftover portions in a fridge if possible or with someone at the venue with directions to send home with the guest.
Do you provide alcoholic beverages and bartenders? Can you accommodate specialty cocktails?
Our bar program is the best in the area. But, this option is limited to whether we can obtain a Dispensers Permit for the event. If the event is taking place at a private residence, we cannot, by law, provide any alcohol. If the event is taking place at a venue or public place, within the city’s limits and our LOD, we can provide professional bartenders as well as a mix of beverages that stands heads and shoulders above the crowd.
What brands of alcohol will be served?
We can custom create your offerings based on your preferences. Prices vary based on your selections.
How do you charge for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages? Per consumption or per person?
Non-alcoholic beverages are added per person. If the event is taking place at a venue or public setting where we are providing alcohol those drinks will be charged per consumption. If the guest has the event at a private residence, providing all alcohol, there will only be a charge for the bartenders to pour and distribute.
Is the champagne toast after a ceremony included in your meal package or is it extra?
Champagne is additional and varies based on your selection of bubbles, rental of champagne flutes or purchase of disposable flutes, as well as $1 per person fee.
Will your staff serve the wine with dinner?
If the bar option has been selected all alcohol will need to be served by our servers and bartenders to prevent any underage consumption or over-serving.
Is coffee and tea included with the per-person meal charge?
We can add on the service for coffee and hot tea for $3 per person. This will include disposable cups, creamer, sweetener and lemons.
What is the ratio of servers to guests?
This is determined by the style of service you have in mind: buffet, passed, seated and served, banquet style. *Prices vary based on your selections.
How will the servers be dressed?
They would be dressed in black short sleeved polos with the M’tucci’s Catering logo on them.
How much time do you require for setting up and breaking down my event, and are there fees for this?
Food Set up is usually completed within an hour and is included in the costs depending on the event, we make adjustments to fit accordingly. Set up of tables, chairs and centerpieces is dependent on the guest count and time needed for set up. *Prices vary based on your selections.
If my event runs longer than contracted, what are the overtime fees?
We charge for our food and beverages, so if additional time means more food and beverage, we
charge for them. If our staff needs to be present longer, staff charges will increase accordingly.
What is the final date by which I can give you a final guaranteed guest count?
We ask that the final count be agreed at least 1 week before the event.
What is your payment policy?
We require 25% down to reserve the date with the balance due before the event begins. *Prices vary based on your selections.
Once we book with you, how quickly can we expect a contract? And if we make changes to menu choices or other items, will you update us with revised estimates and
contracts?
Once you decide to book with M’tucci’s Catering a contract and secure link for the deposit will be sent to you within 18-24 hours. Any updates or
