In 2022, company founder and visionary, Jeff Spiegel, set out to identify whether there were children within the extended M’tucci’s staff who could use additional educational assistance. A simple survey of company employees determined there were, perhaps, upwards of two dozen kids in need of some sort of help, from special needs to basic scholastic tutoring.
Modeled to host sessions both in our restaurants and in the homes of the students, our program, M’tutoring, supports a range of ages and addresses core subjects including reading, math and science, from elementary to middle school. M’tucci’s Minister of Culture, Howie Kaibel, oversees the program, currently helmed by Amy Biehl High School educator Sarah Weschler. We have applied and now have a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, a huge leap towards a fully rounded and certified program.
